I have had my share of photos that I have taken while driving to new places. Part of my intent is just to personally record them and were not for public viewing. This was mostly due because of the bugs that have splattered on the windshield, glare from the dashboard, and shaking from keeping one hand on the wheel. I was viewing some other photos on 500px, just to see what other people do. I came across one photo of a castle in Poland and though it was well done, until…until I saw the date stamp on the picture. This tends to lower the quality of the photo and that data can be found in the properties of the photo.
July 31, 2016 – The Old Fashion Days in Newberg, Oregon
Captured a few images of other vehicles that were not a part of our department, to see what other fire districts have in regards to antique engines.
Nothing like the smiles of children when they get to do something they so wanted to. This boy so wanted to sit in a real fire truck and his wish came true this past weekend. To top it off, it was a 1929 Ford fire truck.
I have never tried to take waterfall pictures. Yesterday I was hiking Hamilton Mountain with a friend and gave it a try. This was using my new Sony A6000 as well.
On my way to Newport, Oregon, along Highway 20 some miles past Eddyville, I past this covered bridge. I was heading west and the bridge is on the left side of the highway, so I made a u-turn and headed back to snap a few pictures. I got to use my new Sony Alpha A6000 which was as exciting as stopping to add some more bridges to my collection.
Passed by an old project that I had done so I had to get some pictures to add to my collection. It is on Sunnyside Road heading east from Clackamas TC. Enjoyed working with the architect on this project because it was all wood construction.
The feature image was my 2000 Dodge Neon. The vehicle was prone to have many problems over the history of my ownership and when I needed to go out of town, whether for work or pleasure, I would rent a car. For the fun of it I would snap a photo of the car. Missing from my collection is the Kia Optima, Dodge Avenger, Ford Edge, Jeep Patriot and Hyundai Sonata. Renting these was cheaper than a new car’s monthly payment at the time and now it helps extend the life of my current machine.
